DRAWINGS!

Yesterday night, while I was scrolling through my list of MSN contacts, a friend of mine, Walter, logged on. On his nick was his blog address, so out of curiosity I decided to view it.

AND OHMYGOD! HIS DRAWINGS WERE BEAUTIFUL!

See them for yourself.

Clicky.

So I decided I simply MUST post about his art, and well, you're reading it. Check out the site, yeah. ;)

----

Yesterday, went out with Rick, Cheng, Amanda, Le-yi and Devon for a triple date at Plaza Singapura. It started off...well, shaky, at first, cause I kept coughing and got this awful headache, and everyone's talking and talking just made it worse, so I got short-tempered and irritable and probably ticked off Rick. I'm sorry. ><

After we went to McDonalds for a meal and I ate some fries, I felt better. Then Le-yi and Devon went to watch Enchanted while the rest of us went to Cathay to watch The Kingdom. Enchanted is somewhat corny and lame but lighthearted, and that's what you paid for in the first place, right? And The Kingdom was okay, not a bad show. ;)

Afterwards, met up with Le-yi and Devon again, then for about twenty minutes debated over what to have for dinner. Le-yi wanted ramen, but Rick and Cheng had already ate ramen the day before. In the end, decided NOT to have dinner, then walked around for a bit before me and Le-yi went home.

Christmas is coming, and I've only got FIFTY DOLLARS as a budget!

What can you buy with that kind of money?!

At the moment there are five people whom I want to buy presents for. For the rest of the people I know, I'll be giving them cards. *hint hint*

That's about all there is for now.

The Barbeque

Yesterday was FUN!

Went to Alvin's place for a barbeque. It was more fun than I had thought. But I only wish I could've stayed overnight...

Ah well, never mind.

When me and Rick went over, we bowled for a bit and played cards (I watched). Then we went to the barbeque pit and started, well, barbequing (spelling?). I didn't eat that much though, not much appetite, not sure why (although I've skipped one solid day's worth of meals the day before).

The guys brought some 5% alcoholic drinks and I tried a bottle. Tasted funny at first, but I got used to it after a few sips. Then after playing cards for a while, we (Rick and me) went for a walk to the pool and sat and talked. It was nice. :)

How time flies. I had to go home by 10! That's an ABSOLUTELY INSANE curfew! @#$%

How I wish there were more days like that, and how I absolutely wish I could've stayed out all night, or at least stay out longer. Sigh. Parents. =_=

I still don't get why he bought me shoes though. Le-yi says its due to a guilty conscience. Hmmmmmmmmmm. But thanks anyway, even though the pair IS a little big. Lol.

Out?

Went out this afternoon with Le-yi, Silea, Yi Xuan, Rick and one more guy whom I don't know. Met Silea & company at the ice skating rink at JEC, then Rick came. Lol. For about half an hour me and Le-yi watched (and occasionally laughed at and made fun of) people skating, slipping, falling or sitting down on the ice rink. Some guy wearing a POLICE T-shirt and pals waved. I waved back. Le-yi made some comment about a guy (who fell in a sort of half-somersault in front of the glass panel we were standing at) that he saw me and fell head-over-heels. HA. HA. =_=

Anyhoo, afterwards we stood at the cinema entrance and for another half hour pondered over what to do and what movie to catch - if we were watching any, that is. I wanted to watch Bee Movie but unfortunately, it was too late and extended past my curfew (for me, that is).

Went to the library, borrowed three more books - Stephen King, of course - which is about 1700 pages of reading, which is about 48 consecutive hours of reading (if that's possible).

Then Rick sent me home. Thanks. :)

Going for a barbeque tomorrow. Maybe I can get to post some pictures. :)

Boredom CAN kill

"After five years during which their only communication had been through lawyers, they had begun a cautious dialogue, sometimes by letter, more often by telephone. These communications had been tentative at first, both of them afraid of mines still buried in the ruined city of their affections, but over the years they had become more regular."

It's an excerpt from the book I'm currently reading, Desperation, by Stephen King. I particularly noticed that paragraph because the line "mines still buried in the ruined city of their affections" had been underlined with pencil and had the words "beautiful sentence" written next to it.

The book is a pain to carry because it makes my (pitifully weak and small and thin) wrists ache just to hold it. But at least it shows that I READ.

Going to a barbeque this Thursday, with Rick and Le-yi and maybe (no, hopefully) Chih Peng, and some other people. I don't know why but I'm not looking forward to it, maybe because of the fact that I haven't really attended barbeques all that often so that I don't know if it'll be fun or anything. Which only goes to show how pathetic my social life is. Pfft.

Just got off the phone with Trev. No comment there. =X

I keep thinking if I should make a fuss over it. Should I? My mind says I should, but I don't feel a thing. Is that good or bad? I can't tell at all, which makes things probably worse.

Oh, forget it.

Oh yes, the baby (Yu Xuan, the adorable little baby of whose photo was put on in one of my previous posts) is teeth-ing already and is starting to bite everything he can hold onto, e.g. his musical-playing toy, our fingers, and HIS fingers. Ywouch.

Ihaveabsolutelynothingtotalkaboutanymoreomgomgisthatpatheticorwhatzzzzzzz

Sorry sorry. Random.

Anyway. That's about all. Toodles.

The world is black
And hearts are cold
And there's no hope
That's what we're told...
